I just love this release from Kaiser............it's so pretty but could quite easily be used for male orientated cards or layouts too.



I was asked to include fringed flowers.
No probs cos I enjoy making them!

Based on a Mojo Monday sketch

and this one needs something else.............maybe I should have embossed the cardstock.

What will you be doing in 2021?

I'll be opening up a time capsule and reflecting on my families achievements, the cost of living, what we looked like (oooooooo that's the scarey bit!! hehehe!) and the news headlines of 2011.

I just realised

I forgot to upload my June challenge for the beautiful ladies over at Art !!
It's probably cos I dont really like the layout all that much - hehe

The criteria was based on the Queen as she celebrated her 85th birthday this year.
The colours red, white and blue needed to feature on the layout - for the Union Jack
Her stationary is, no doubt beautifully embossed - embossing.
And She has a stunning collection of jewellery - so I want to see bling/glitter anything sparkly




I just cant seem to pull together a boy layout as easily as a girly one.................I must be an all flowers and bling kinda girl at heart!!

More Mixed Media

A few weeks back I was playing around with 'stuff' after being totally inspired by Finnabair's amazing creations! This lady totally rocks the mixed media.
Here is the layout that I put together using all sorts of bits and pieces, some of which I have had in my stash for well over 7 years!






The embellishment with memories written on it is an old fashioned projector screen.
Pull down on the washer and my journalling is revealed. It's a little personal, so I haven't shared it with you.

Winter is here!

Terribly cold here in Adelaide today and I'm home looking after my daughter who is getting over a cold. She is getting bored with being at home and is keen to get back to school tomorrow.
So I thought I'd share a few OTP items I have made recently.

but I couldn't caputure that in the photo.

Below is an album I put together for my BIL's 40th.

Very simply decorated so people could sign their birthday wishes in it.

I have one more item to share but you will have to wait for that one! ; )

Have you ever..

Completed two layouts that were the same except for the patterned paper?
Hmmmmmm well thats what I have done this week.
The first layout was for the Amazing Race over at Chook Scraps using the Little Toot range from Kaiser (bit of sneek peek for you!)
I just felt that the colours weren't vibrant enough for the challenge.
The criteria was use a square photo, a frame, a quote and use the photo (on the forum) as inspiration.
I have also used a sketch from The Scrappiest
So this layout will now head to The Flourish and I think I will enter it into The Scrappiest also.






So I started the Amazing Race challenge again!
But I loved the sketch and the quote I had used on the first layout so decided to go with it and change the papers.
Grabbed some old, but vibrant, BG Marrakech papers and inspriation from Kerryn with everything being matted on black (thanks wink!)

Amazing Race Round 5

Saw us in South Africa.
I just loved this criteria for this round but as the week past I still had no layout.
I was soooo overthinking everything and just couldnt decide on what to do.
Thankfully I received a phone call from my SIL and she invited us to see Makayla - our premmie niece. Instantly I knew what I was doing and half constructed the layout before I left!
Introducing Baby Makayla




The criteria was cream flowers, metal, twigs/branches and paper rolling.
He is a close up of my fringed flowers which involved lots of rolling!




I used a sketch by Lydall Quinn over at The Colour Room................she has some beauties which I'll be putting to use very soon
We are onto Morocco now, so I had better get moving and not think, just do!
