Let it Snow

Well it might as well be snowing it's ruddy cold, raining and windy here in Adelaide.
Not what you would expect for this time of year but I'm grateful it's not hot.
I have been playing around with yet another Tim inspired tag.
I used alcohol inks on a piece of metal shim and then run it thru the cuttlebug with the snowman folder. I then sanded the raised areas, cut him out and stuck him to an embossed tag coloured with distressed inks and some stickles for a bit of sparkle.
I used the idea of the bulging picket fence, from Tim first tag, to hold some snowballs.

Having fun playing and making a huge mess
I hope you are finding time to create a little something at this busy time of year!
Happy Scrapping

Tag 3

Just thought I'd quickly pop in to share this tag
This was Tim's second tag using cut and dry felt. I didn't have any of the felt but used some of stamp foam instead.
It's an interesting technique making your own stamp and colouring with distress reinkers, one that I will need to play with some more to be totally happy with the stamping results.
Here is the link to Tag 2 if you want to check it out.

Another Tag Share

hhmmmmm well............
I attempted T!m's Poinsettia Tag, day 7 on the 12 Tags of Christmas, cos it looked easy!!!
LOL!!
What a tricky little number it turned out to be!
Still not happy with how the petals are arranged and I have left a layer out completely cos I couldn't get them to sit properly........I think a glue gun is a must for this tag.

But I will say it was fun playing with the canvas and grungepaper and I just love that there is yet another type of flower I can create using the Tattered Flowers die.

Happy Creating

Tag 1

Well here is my take on Tim's first tag.
I didn't have the all the products he used to create his first wonderful tag but I figure it's all about inspiration and getting your creative juices flowing! Right?
My thought process was that Tim firstly embossed some grunge board, then cut it and the stuck it down.
So thats what I did.
I embossed the trees onto the grunge board, then cut them out used distress inks to colour and then stuck them onto my tag. I used stickles added the snow capped effect to the trees and the background was created in the same way as shown on the blog. I used Maya Road Pearl Mist and it has given a wonderful swirling snow effect to the background.......looks pretty cool I think!

Thanks for stopping by

Happy creating!

T!m's Tags

Anyone who knows me knows I'm somewhat of a T!m fan. I find this mans creativity amazing and I'm constantly astounded with the new ideas that he comes up with.
For the past couple of years I have watched in awe as he has put together his 12 Tags of Christmas ( the past 3 years are still on his blog if you want to check them out...........please go and check them out you wont be disappointed!!) so this year I thought I would try and play along.
So this is my challenge, not only for myself but also the girls at Artistic, to be inspired by the tags and the techniques used and to make one or make all 12!
I have almost finshed my first tag so I post it soon
Cheers for now
Happy creating
